Separated from her Child and Detained: Grant Yoselin Parole
For delivery to: NOLA ICE Field Office

Categorized as Deportation
I write to ask that you immediately grant parole for Yoselin and release her from the South Louisiana Correctional Center in Basile, LA. Yoselin has been detained since she presented herself at a Texas port of entry with her 4 year old daughter Emily this year. Yoselin’s continued detention is in violation of ICE Directive 11002.1 and the recent Preliminary Injunction issued by U.S. District Judge James E. Boasberg.
In detention, Yoselin is suffering immense trauma because officials physically separated her from her 4-year old daughter at the border. Yoselin’s daughter is also suffering from the separation from her mother. Doctors report that Emily is showing signs of PTSD because of her experience being removed from her mother’s care and being sent to ORR. Emily continues to cry during the nights asking for her mother.
I ask that you grant parole so that Yoselin can be reunited with her daughter and family in Oakland, California. Yoselin is neither a flight risk nor a danger to the community, and it is in the public interest to grant her parole.
